Dr. Mackenzie Hofford is the Associate Chief Research Information Officer and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. Specializing in internal medicine, he manages diabetes, heart conditions, and other chronic diseases. Dr. Hofford is affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Hofford holds a Certificate in Clinical Informatics from Washington University in St. Louis (2022) and an MD from the University of Rochester (2015). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Maine Medical Center and a Clinical Informatics fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hofford guides the development and oversight of clinical and research information infrastructure. His research interests lie in clinical informatics, contributing to advancing healthcare through data and technology. He has previously served as Medical Director of Informatics Core Services and Clinical Informatics Fellow and has experience at Central Maine Healthcare and Maine Medical Center.
