The Institute for Informatics, Data Science and Biostatistics (I2DB) spent the week in New Delhi, India, hosting a leadership workshop and alumni reception, as well as speaking at the THE Innovation and Impact Summit. The visit strengthened I2DB’s networking and partnerships in India.
Digital Health Leadership Resource Library and Workshop
The Digital Health Leadership Workshop continues to empower digital health leaders and aspiring professionals in India. On Dec. 9, our most recent workshop introduced participants to a comprehensive library of online learning resources, supported by I2DB’s strong collaborations in India, as well as presentations to facilitate conversation. This initiative helped users deepen their understanding of the digital health landscape and equipped them with tools to drive impactful change. Participants were also invited to join a WashU-moderated LinkedIn group designed to foster a community of practitioners dedicated to digital health advancements.
Networking Reception and Bohigian Lectureship
Later that day, a Networking Reception and Bohigian Lectureship took place at the Pullman New Delhi Aerocity. The event featured rich discussions among WashU Medicine alumni and friends, providing a platform for networking and knowledge exchange. The highlight was an insightful lecture by Philip R.O. Payne, Ph.D., who shared his extensive expertise in digital health innovations.
THE Innovation & Impact Summit
THE Innovation & Impact Summit, titled “Beyond Borders: Empowering Innovation on a Global Scale,” was held Dec. 10-12, 2024, in New Delhi. This summit gathered thought leaders and innovators to discuss global advancements in digital health.
Dr. Philip Payne delivered a compelling presentation on new AI interventions, addressing the potential of artificial intelligence in various public health domains—from conservation efforts to maternal health.
