Special information for international applicants
Please read the following information specific to international applicants.
A Note for International Applicants Regarding the MS in Biomedical Data Science and AI(MSBDS-AI) and the Master of Science in Biostatistics and Data Science (MSBDS)
Our new MS in Biomedical Data Science & AI is launching in Fall 2026 with fresh curriculum, a dedicated focus on AI, and greater flexibility through tracks and electives tailored to your career goals.
At this time, international students are not yet eligible to apply to the Biomedical Data Science & AI program while we await final approval. To ensure you still have a pathway to join our community, we are continuing to accept international applications to the MS in Biostatistics & Data Science (MSBDS).
Students admitted to the MSBDS program may have the opportunity to transition into the new program once approval is finalized. If you are an international applicant, we encourage you to apply to the MSBDS program, with the understanding that:
- You will receive a high-quality education in biostatistics and data science.
- Once available, you will have the option to move into the updated Biomedical Data Science & AI curriculum, bringing added focus in AI and expanded elective options.
For domestic applicants, we recommend applying directly to the MS in Biomedical Data Science & AI, as this will become our primary program moving forward.
MSBDS students will have until May 2028 to complete their degree. The Program Manager will work with international students to advise on the best paths moving forward once the MSBDS-AI option is available to them.
Deadline Information for International Students
We strongly encourage all international students to submit their applications by November 15th to allow sufficient time for possible visa processing delays.
