Digital Health Leadership Workshop & Networking – India
Approximately 65 attendees attended the Digital Health Leadership Workshop, co-hosted by the Institute for Informatics, Data Science and Biostatistics at WashU and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Participants gained valuable skills and knowledge in applying the Learning Health System framework, understanding the digital product lifecycle, evaluating outcomes, and communicating results.
Attendees left the workshop, held on April 26-27, well-equipped to navigate digital health interventions and drive meaningful change. Day 1 covered the Learning Health System and the Digital Innovation Lifecycle, taught by Dr. Philip R.O. Payne, Dr. Vikas Jain, Dr. Aditi Gupta, and Dr. Albert M. Lai. Day 2 focused on Evaluating Impact and Communicating Results, led by Dr. Thomas Kannampallil, and Andrea Krussel.
The visit to India also included two alumni events which were well-attended by alumni and future students. The first event took place in Delhi on April 23, where the Bohigian Lectureship in Biomedical Informatics was delivered by Dr. Thomas Kannampallil. The second event was held in Mumbai on April 26, featuring Dr. Albert Lai, as the speaker for the Bohigian Lectureship in Biomedical Informatics.
